The Webby Awards is NNC’s internal awarding system to recognize outstanding performance in promoting good nutrition through the use of the Internet and social networking media. With the current trends that are brought about by technology in our modern world, good nutrition can now be promoted through the worldwideweb. This year, on the occasion of NNC’s 41st Anniversary, outstanding performers in the maintenance of NNC webpages and official NNC facebook accounts in 2014 shall be recognized.
Webby Awards Board of Judges and Chair Assistant Secretary of Health and Executive Director Maria-Bernardita T. Flores, Ms. Carol dela Cruz of KMITS-DOH and Ms. Eldeliza V. Guilleno of DA-ICTS conferred the following awards: Best Website Article, Most Interactive Webpage and Social Media Accounts, Most Syndicated Webpage and Social Media Account and the highest and most prestigious award, the Best Webpage and Social Media Account.
The Best Website Article is presented to the main author(s) of the website article with the most number of “hits” or “likes” and demonstrated excellence in substance, composition and with appeal for action. 2014’s winners for the category are Ms. Jovita B. Raval and Ms. Marilou R. Enteria for the web article entitled “NNC launches ’10 Kumainments for Pinoy’s Healthy lifestyle’”.
Meanwhile, the Most Interactive Webpage and Social Media Account is presented to the Regional Office whose webpage and social media account promptly responds to queries and comments on particular posts and responsibly converses with other related social media/ webpages. 2014’s winners for the category are NNC Regions 7 and 10 and the runner-up for this category is the NNC-National Capital Region (NCR).
The Most Syndicated Webpage and Social Media Account, on the other hand, is presented to the regional office whose official social media account and regional webpage contain articles or contents with the most number of unique page views. 2014’s winner for the category is NNC Region 1 and the runner-up for this category is NNC Region 2.
Finally, the highest award, the Best Webpage and Social Media Account, is the award presented to the regional office whose webpage or social media account shows excellence in terms of article composition, prompt and quality response to clients, web visibility, and compliance to existing DOH and NNC policies. This year’s winner for the category is NNC Region 7 and the runner-up for this category is NNC Region 10.
All the winners received plaques of recognition and cash prizes.
