Baguio City- Local Government Units with outstanding performance in the implementation of nutrition programs and Outstanding Barangay Nutrition Scholars identified by the different provinces and cities will be recognized through a Regional Awarding Ceremony (RNAC) on October 13, 2016 at Hotel Veniz, One Abanao Street, Baguio City. 
The Regional Nutrition Evaluation Team (RNET), a technical working group from the different member agencies of the Regional Nutrition Committee-Cordillera Administrative Region conducted the Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI) and Search for the Regional Outstanding BNS last March to June 2015. The MELLPI aims to assess the efficiency of local level plan implementation as indicated by certain indicators, measure changes in weight status of preschool and school children during the evaluation year and the immediate past two years, determine the extent to which nutrition is integrated into local development plans and programs and advocate for the continuing support for local nutrition program. The search for the outstanding Barangay Nutrition Scholar/ BNS Evaluation aims to to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the BNSs in responding to the tasks mandated to them. As a result of the MELLPI and BNS evaluation, awardees were identified by the team. 
The event will be attended by around 180 participants composed of awardees, delegates from the different provinces of the region, partners from the different line agencies, non-government organizations, representatives from the media and other guests.
