AsipuloASIPULO, Ifugao- "We are digging our grave by our spoon and fork that's why before we eat, we should consider if it will sustain our health, our lives." This was the message of SP Member Victor H. Bunnol, Jr., Chairman Committee on Health, guest speaker during the Nutrition Month Celebration of the Municipality of Asipulo with the theme: Healthy Diet, Gawing Habit-for LIFE!

In addition, he encouraged everyone to go back to the basic way of living, adopting the old practice, eating organic food like the ginga, yuyu, vegetables grown from pingkol, etc. He advised also to avoid processed foods like burger, hotdog, fries, pancit canton, and other instant foods. "The foundation of our healthy diet depends on what we eat," he added.

Furthermore, he reiterated also the importance of backyard gardening that will help in promoting healthy lifestyle.

Meanwhile, Municipal Mayor Armando Domilod urged the people to work hand in hand in giving importance to health. "Health is wealth," he said.

He explained the importance of practicing healthy diet, exercise, and eating more fruits and vegetables.

Mayor Tomas Pullupul stressed the importance of "Peace and Order" as part of a healthy living and acknowledged the PNP, BFP down to the Brgy. Tanods for without them peace and order is impossible to attain.

He also encouraged the BHW's to do more on nutrition programs. "It's better to prevent than to cure," Pullupul said.

Later, the awarding of the Most Outstanding Nutrition Implementers was given.
