ALFONSO LISTA, Ifugao- “This is our final fight, we must give our best shot!",  remarked Ms. Corazon Dawong, the District Nutrition Program Coordinator (DNPC) of Ifugao during the conduct of mentoring and technical assistance to Barangay Nutrition Committees of Alfonso Lista, Ifugao by NNC-CAR and PNC-Ifugao on February 6-9, 2018.

MNAO Nelly Simongo and other municipal nutrition staff, DNPC Dawong from the Ifugao PNC, RNPC Rita Papey and Nutrition Officers Bella Basalong and Nancy Paclos of NNC-CAR comprised the technical assistance group that visited the barangays to provide technical assistance as they prepare for the National Evaluation. The group was divided into three teams and visited 15 barangays from February 6-9, 2018. The nutrition program implementation of the barangays were monitored and documents were reviewed. 

A meeting with Mayor Glenn Prudenciano and other members of the Saluad Salun-at Council  with the technical assistance group was done on February 8, 2018 to discuss concerns in the preparation for the NHA evaluation. The Mayor expressed his preference to have the evaluation before the May 12 barangay elections but also agreed that BNCs must be prepared after the election regardless of the election results.
