BAGUIO CITY – The Nutrition Action Officers Association of Cordillera Administrative Region (NAOA-CAR) elected new set of officers during their meeting at Hotel Veniz, Baguio City on March 12, 2020.

Provincial Nutrition Action Officers (PNAOs) and Municipal Nutrition Action officers  from the various provinces attended  the  meeting presided over by the outgoing president Ms. Gladys Asiong where they elected the new set of officers for 2020-2022 and to provide other updates to the attendees. The newly set of officers were as follows:

PRESIDENT: Mr. Jimmy Taguilingon (NAO, Asipulo, Ifugao)

VICE PRESIDENT: Ms. Gladys Asiong, (MNAO, Kapangan, Benguet)

SECRETARY: Mr. Abner Lawangen, (MDRRMO and MNAO, Tublay, Benguet)

TREASURER: Ms. Maricel Pedro, (MNAO, Tuba, Benguet)

AUDITOR: Dr. Joseph Galpo, (MHO and MNAO, Tayum, Abra)

PRO: Dr. Caroline Yawan, (PHO I and MNAO, Mt. Province)

BUSINESS MANAGERS

        Dr. Marjorie Silawon, (Municipal Dentist and MNAO, Pasil, Kalinga)

        Dr. Karizza Hurtado, (MHO and MNAO, Flora, Apayao)

Aside from the election, the outgoing NAOA-CAR president presented the Physical and Financial Accomplishment of the organization for the past-three-years (2017-2019). Among the accomplishments were the finalization of the Constitution and by Laws, attendance to national meetings, opening of bank account and the conduct of the first Regional Nutrition in Action Summit. She said that all records will be endorsed to the new officers. 

The incoming president, Mr. Taguilingon pledged to plan activities and ensure that NAOA-CAR members will be active during his term. /vmd/
