The Philippine Information Agency will conduct an Information Officers' Meeting at the DPWH Training Center, Engineers Hill, Baguio City on October 10, 2011. The meeting will be attended by the Information Officers of the different government agencies and local government units designated to do information work all over the region. This meeting aims to build a stronger partnership for a better government information dissemination towards development. Other items for discussion include the orientation on the Philippine Development Plan 2011-2016 and Regional Development Council's update on regional autonomy efforts. and photojournalism is also included to help the designated IOs improve their efficiency.

In the previous meeting conducted last May, 2011, relevant updates, upcoming events and activities were shared by some agencies. PIA-CAR Regional Director Helen R. Tibaldo also encouraged everyone to actively participate and support communicating the “Good News” in all of the government line agencies, government owned and controlled corporations, government financial institutions and state universities and colleges. The “good news” pertains to the government services, programs and projects that each agency upholds all of which are geared towards development.
