Baguio City - Ifugao State University (IFSU) was hailed as the winner of the Nutri-Jingle 2021 Contest for Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) Season 2.
With a total score of 86.33, IFSU topped the other seven participating HEIs. The university will receive a cash prize of P16,000.00.
Kalinga State University (KSU) emerged in the 2nd place with a total score of 75.2, and Benguet State University (BSU) trailed in next as the 3rd placer, garnering a total score of 73.13. KSU will receive a P12,000.00 cash prize and P8,000.00 for BSU.
Meanwhile, Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC), Apayao State College (ASC), University of the Philippines-Baguio (UPB), Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology (ASIST), and Saint Louis University (SLU) will be awarded with P3,000.00 consolation prizes.
The computation of the total scores was 80% from the consolidated judges' scores and 20% from social media reactions.
The judging activity was held on October 28, 2021. The board of judges was composed of Mr. Lael Senio, Local Artist, Ms. Melody Labawig, ES II of CHED-CAR, Ms. Jam Malingan, IO II of PIA-CAR, Ms. Xaenadya Maligpas, NOII of DOH-CAR, Ms. Rose Malekchan, CARMENu President, and Ms. Bella Basalong, OIC-NPC of NNC-CAR. On the other hand, the voting period on the National Nutrition Council-CAR’s (NNC-CAR) Facebook page ran from October 28-November 5, 2021.
The Nutri-jingle Contest is an activity of NNC-CAR in partnership with the Commission on Higher Education-CAR to increase awareness on the importance of nutrition and the rights of every child. It focuses on theme “Tamang Nutrition, Karapatan ng Bawat Bata” in support to the Nutrition Month and the National Children’s Month.
