Baguio City—The Nutrition Action Officers in the region had its first meeting held at Hotel Supreme last August 15, 2013. The participants were selected from the officers of the federated NAOs of the different provinces in the Cordillera. The highlight of the meeting was the Regional NAOs federation and election of officers. The following are the duly elected officers of the NAOs Association of CAR:

Secretary- Ms. Cynthia Cadag (MNAO- Tuba, Benguet)
Treasurer- Dr. Mario Chomenwey (MNAO- Sadanga, Mt. Province)
P.R.O.- Ms. Ma. Adelaida Realce (MNAO- Lubuagan, Kalinga)
Auditor- Ms. Faith Lamag (MNAO-Aguinaldo, Ifugao)
Business Managers- Mr. Wilfred Bilog (PNAO- Mt. Province)

The participants were also apprised on the duties and responsibilities of a Nutrition Action Officer (NAO), results of the 2013 Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI), giving emphasis on the strong points of each province and city as well as areas for improvement. The Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN) and the Barangay Nutrition Scholars Program (BNSP).
The oath taking of the newly elected officers will be held during the Regional Nutrition Awarding Ceremony (RNAC) scheduled on November 2013 in Baguio City.
