The accomplishments of the Cordillera Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS) Federation in 2021 were presented during the federation’s officers’ 1^st virtual meeting held on February 28, 2022.

Last year, Cordi-BNS Federation was able to hold five meetings. The officers were also able to conduct three activities, namely BNS Program Orientation and Organizational Meeting, Zoom and eOPT Tool Orientation for BNS, and the BNS Virtual Congress. Cayat thanked all the officers for their contribution in the conduct and success of the activities and the National Nutrition Council-CAR for the support.  

The Cordi-BNS Federation also planned their activities for 2022. On the 1^st week of April, a webinar about the role of the Barangay Nutrition Council (BNC) and an orientation on the Barangay Nutrition Action Plan will be conducted. Members of the BNCs in the region will be invited to participate in the said webinar. A webinar on the re-orientation on the Infant and Young Child Feeding was also planned for the 1^st week of May in which all BNSes in Cordillera will be asked to take part.

Moreover, the election of new regional officers, which the federation decided to forego during the meeting since other provinces are yet to conduct election of provincial officers, was targeted to be accomplished before this year’s 2^nd semester. Said election of regional officers will be conducted after all provinces have elected their new sets of officers. A face-to-face meeting was also planned to be conducted on the 3^rd or 4^th quarter.
