15 January 2016- The National Nutrition Council (NNC) through NNC-ROI’s Nutrition Program Coordinator, Ma. Eileen B. Blanco handed over the Early Warning System for Food and Nutrition Security (EWS-FNS) equipment which include one unit of laptop computer, printer and accessories to the Municipality of Tagudin, Ilocos Sur represented by Municipal Administrator Elisa Q. Bunoan, Municipal Nutrition Action Officer Charmaine Joy D. Jimeno and Computer Programmer Freddie Paul L. Ringor on Friday during the ceremonial turn-over at the Mayor’s Office.

NPC Blanco said that the equipment will be used for the efficient operationalization of EWS-FNS in the area. The EWS-FNS was launched and established in 2015.

Administrator Bunoan expressed her gratitude to NNC in behalf of the Honorable Mayor for the continuous support and giving the much needed equipment and capacity building in ensuring the successful operation and sustainability of the EWS-FNS in their area.
