This is the closing message of Mayor Perez as the LGU received the ECCD check amounting to Php 2, 498, 118.00 from the National Nutrition Council. The city nutrition committee and financial committee of Urdaneta City gathered for the special meeting and turnover of fund for the activities on Early Childhood Care and Development in the First 1000 Days (ECCD-F1K) Program at the Audio-Visual Room, City Hall, Urdaneta City, Pangasinan last April 25, 2017.



The said event was attended by CNAO Remelita M. Nidoy, CNPC Ma. Elena Del Prado, staff from the City Agriculture Office, City Planning and Development Office, and City Social and Welfare Development Office. The group was joined by the city treasurer, city budget officer, and some barangay nutrition scholars.

The special meeting focused on the presentation of the work and financial plan for year 2017. The objectives of the program and the roles of each member agency were expounded one by one. Each objective will serve as data indicator in measuring the status of the improvement of health and nutrition situation of the city and its constituent barangays.

The LGU and NNC planned together the activities that will involve native swine production, backyard and community gardening, nutrition education classes, barangay visits, financial and administrative matters. Aside from the program’s components, the LGU as the implementing body must be able to deliver at least 90% of various health and nutrition services, psychosocial stimulation activities and early learning services.

After the ceremonial turnover, Mayor Perez expressed his gratitude over the continuous efforts of National Nutrition Council on promoting quality life through the ECCD-F1K Program. (AFSR)
