San Fernando City, La Union—The National Nutrition Council- Regional Office I in coordination once again with the Department of Education- Regional Office I to hold the Nutri-Jingle Video Contest Season 2 as part of this year’s Nutrition Month Celebration with the theme: “Kumain nang wasto at maging aktibo…push natin ‘to!”

This contest will be participated by secondary schools, public or private, from the fourteen (14) DepEd- Division Offices in the region with 2 schools representing each division office.

Entries are expected to be posted at the NNC-ROI’s regional webpage (www.facebook.com/nncregion1) on July 1, 2019 and posting is expected to end on July 30, 2019.

The criteria for judging will be the following: Originality (20%), Choreography (15%), Relevance to the theme (20%), Number of Likes (15%), Number of Shares (15%) and Number of Views (15%) with a total of 100%.

The board of judges will determine results after the 30 days posting and winners will be recognized during the 2019 Regional Nutrition Awarding Ceremony scheduled on August 2019.

The contest is sponsored by the League of Nutrition Action Officers of Region I, Inc. (RLNAOs) and the LUPang Ilocos Brangay Nutrition Scholars Federation, Inc. (LUPangIlocosBNSFed.,Inc.).

In 2018, the NNC in partnership with DepEd-ROI launched the first ever and very successful Nutri-Jingle Video Contest Season I participated by 13 secondary schools from the provinces and cities in Region I. San Juan National High School in San Juan, Ilocos Sur was adjudged as the 2018 Nutri-Jingle Video Contest Champion.

Nutri-jingle is a short song or tune with lyrics originally composed by the participating students promoting and emphasizing good nutrition especially the key messages of the nutrition month theme. KPAG
