City of San Fernando, La Union—Nutrition Month is just around the corner as July is fast approaching. Once again, the National Nutrition Council Region I (NNC1) will hold the Nutri-jingle Video Contest Season 3 as part of the month long-activities for this year’s celebration in partnership with the LUPang Ilocos Barangay Nutrition Scholar Federation, Inc.
The 46th Nutrition Month is focused on stunting with the theme “Batang Pinoy, SANA TALL… Iwas Stunting, SAMA ALL! Iwas ALL din sa COVID-19!”
The Nutri-jingle Season 3 will be participated by a total of 8 entries from all over the region with two (2) Barangay Nutrition Scholar groups in each province.
One of the challenges of this year’s contest in the context of COVID-19 pandemic is the strict adherence to the minimum public health standards. The participants shall observe protocols like wearing of mask and ensure social distancing.
The said entries will be posted on July 3, 2020 at 12:00 in the afternoon at the official Facebook page of NNC-ROI using hashtag #NutritionMonth2020NutriJingleContest and the judging by netizens will run until July 30, 2020 at 12:00 in the afternoon. The video entries will be judged according to the number of likes (15%), number of reach (15%), number of views (15%) by the netizens and its originality (20%), choreography (15%) and relevance to the theme (20%) by the panel of judges with a total of 100%.
The final deliberation will be on July 31, 2020 and results will be announced on August 1, 2020 at NNC-ROI’s official FB page. The first place will receive P10,000.00, second place with P6,000.00 while the third place with P4,000.00. Lastly, non-winning entries will receive consolation prize and all participants will also be given certificates.
The Nutri-jingle Video Contest Season 1 and 2 participated by schools from all over the region were both a big success and so for this year, the region opens new category to the BNSs while classes in schools not yet resumed. It proves that our Nutrition Heroes does not only excel in providing quality services in nutrition programs but also shine with their hidden talents and creativity.
The NNC-Regional Office I will also be spearheading the celebration in the region to conduct the Nutrition Month Online Launching on July 2 and other month-long activities which includes NM Pagbati Challenge Season 5, Idol Ko si Nanay at Tatay sa Kusina: Cooking Demo Series and free webinars.
