The League of Nutrition Action Officers of Region 1, Inc. (RLNAOs) elected its new set of officers to govern the league for CY 2021-2023. The election was conducted during the annual general assembly held last March 4, 2021 via Zoom.

Mr. Kendall Gatan, Officer-in-Charge of the National Nutrition Council-Regional office I proposed and presented the 2021 special election policy of RLNAOs in the context of COVID-19 pandemic and was unanimously approved and adopted by the body.

TF or this year, election of new sets of officers was also done. he policy include the following to ensure smooth flow of the election: NAOs present were eligible to vote regardless of status on payment of annual dues for 2020; Break-out room will be provided for the 4 provinces in order for them to vote for their representatives to the region; Secret balloting will facilitate the selection of new officers; In case of vacancy of the president, vice president will hold the position in acting capacity and for other positions, the replacement representative will take over the position in acting capacity; and NNC-ROI will serve as the Comelec for the election. 

Following the selection of each provinces, the final list of the  board of directors of the league was then completed and elected among themselves the new set of officers as follows:

President: Ms. Apple Lyra Rapada, Santa Cruz, Ilocos Sur

Vice President: Ms. Reygee Rocero, San Vicente, Ilocos Sur

Secretary: Mr. Jeno Josef Figuracion, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur

Assistant Secretary: Ms. Lovely Gay Alibuyog, Batac City, Ilocos Norte

Treasurer: Mr. Orlino Ibus, Jr., Burgos, Ilocos Norte

Assistant Treasurer: Ms. Marites Mendoza, Urbiztondo, Pangasinan

Auditors: Ms. Angeline Castillo, Bangui, Ilocos Norte

               Ms. Eva Narcise, Sudipen, La Union

               Ms. Reynalyn Palos, Caba, La Union

Business Managers: Mr. John Philip Gabriel, Bacnotan, La Union

                                  Dr. Juval Shane Martin, Sigay, Ilocos Sur

OIC Gatan then administered the oath of office and the newly elected officers are expected to perform their roles and responsibilities as mentioned in the Constitution and By-Laws of the league. /CPF
