The National Nutrition Council, LUPang Ilocos Region conducted their team building activity last October 29 and 30, 2013 at the Subic International Hotel, Olongapo City with the theme “Building Trust and Confidence for a Healthy Relationship in the Workplace.”

The 2-day activity was divided into two parts: first, is the visit to the Ocean Adventure, where the staff realized the importance of every specie in the environment and how to be an instrument of change in order to protect nature and care for the animals. Second, is the team building activity proper where a series of activities to test trust, confidence, cooperation, teamwork and communication were demonstrated. The team leader plays a vital role and the importance of good communication skills was stressed in order to achieve the goals of the organization.

In closing OIC-NPC Rose Lulu P. Pagaduan emphasized the need to internalize and always to adhere to the CORE VALUES of the agency. Likewise, she encouraged the staff to feel like a valued member of the entire organization and to work harmoniously together and strive to make a difference.

The activity ended joyfully with the determination of every staff to work harder to be able to make every Ilocano and Pangasinense a nutritionally empowered citizen.
