The Regional Organization of Nutrition Development Advocates-1, Incorporated (RONDA-1, Inc.), elected its new set of officers for calendar years 2022-2024 conducted through a special meeting cum general assembly last 22 February 2022 via Zoom Platform.

RONDA-1 is a SEC registered organization - both print and broadcast since 2010, united to uphold the ideals of a free, progressive, and democratic press as well as to promote the nutrition programs of the government thru the collective support and cooperation of the National Nutrition Council - Region 1.

Mr. Kendall A. Gatan, Officer in-Charge of NNC Region 1, represented by Ms. Wylibeth N. Lumpias, Nutrition Officer II, served as the election chair, while Ms. Rea Joy Wakat, Nutrition Officer I, and Ms. Claribel Catinguel, Provincial Nutrition Focal Point, as secretariat during the special meeting.

Ms. Wakat presented the general guidelines for the election of officers in the context of the virtual setup followed by the elaboration of some salient points from the organization’s Constitution and By-Laws and presentation of the current active officers/members of RONDA-1 by Ms. Lumpias.

Following the secret balloting as a form of voting, the body was able to finalize the new set of officers for 2022-2024 from the candidates receiving the highest number of votes on the positions presented as the following:

          President: Mr. Jay Miguel Mendoza- Station Manager, DZRD Sonshine Radio, Dagupan City

          Vice President: Ms. Celestina Paz- Station Manager, DWFB Radyo Pilipinas, Laoag City

          Secretary: Ms. Maricel Fronda- - Station Manager, DZAG Radyo Pilipinas, Agoo, La Union

          Treasurer: Ms. Charity Frianeza, Announcer II, DZAG Radyo Pilipinas, Agoo, La Union

          Assistant Treasurer: Mr. Cesar Obar, Editor/Publisher- The Weekly City Bulletin, San Fernando City, La Union & The Amianan Bulletin, Candon City, Ilocos Sur

          Auditor: Mr. Mark Gemson Espinosa- Station Manager-iFM, Dagupan City
