LAOAG CITY, ILOCOS NORTE- The Lupang Ilocos Barangay Nutrition Scholar (BNS) Federation, Inc. conducted their first regular meeting, under the leadership of Mr. Darwin F. Tumbaga, newly elected Federation President, on February 15, 2023.

Part of the meeting were the presentation of the 2022 federation accomplishments and turn-over of Lupang Ilocos BNS Fed. Inc. files to incoming officers. In addition, Ms. Cristina Jubilado, Federation Treasurer, presented the Financial Report for 2022, as well as the updates of the BIR and SEC registration.

Following the reports, the federation plans for 2023 were outlined, which include advocacy meetings, BNS congress, and knowledge management journey. They also committed their full support and active participation to the activities and programs by the National Nutrition Council Region 1.

Lastly, Mr. Kendall Pilgrim Gatan, Officer in Charge, expressed his gratitude to the federation for their continuous efforts and dynamic involvements in the improvement of the Nutrition Situations of the Region. 

The meeting was attended by the provincial federation officers and NNC Region 1 staff.  Other officers who were not present at the venue were able to attend through Zoom.
