National Nutrition Council Region 02 (NNC R-02) released the newest issue of Information About Nutrition (IFAN) Magazine last month during the Program Implementation Review cum Christmas party in Tuguegarao City.
This issue’s theme is, “Cagayan Valley: Moving towards health excellence,” focused on the programs, projects and activities of the agency for the past 6 mos of the year 2015. The ceremonial launching started by the giving of insights of the previous issues shared by Ms. Rhodora G. Maestre, Nutrition Program Coordinator wherein she stated that the previous issues focused on showing how unique practices in the region help the agency in achieving its goals and objectives.

Further, the agency handed out the latest issues to the participating BNS, MNAOs, DCNPCs and NAOs that participated in the back to back meetings of the participants and the Program Implementation Review who showed openly showed their appreciation for being the first ones to have the said issue.

Moreover, NPC Maestre emphasized that the magazine is a collaborative effort of all NNC R-02 staffs who assured to deliver accurate and precise information about nutrition in the valley. This year’s issue focuses in the continuous safeguarding of the valley’s health and nutrition through the agency’s mandates.

Lastly, NNC-R02 promised to its constituents that they shall witness every year how the agency work out to achieve its goals and objectives in the improvement of the region’s nutritional status.
