The Philippine Plan of Action on Nutrition has been launched on May 02, 2017 in Iloilo City. The Department of Agriculture as a partner agency of the National Nutrition Council of Region 02 through its educational radio station DWDA Radyo Pangkaunlaran fully supports its implementation.

In order to drumbeat the plan for the PPAN implementation, DWDA airs regularly broadcast materials such as jingles and spots to ensure the awareness among stakeholders, the “Pinakbet, Mango and Rice” jingles are regularly aired in the regular programs of the station from 5:00 Am to 5:00 Pm from Monday to Saturday.

Aside from these, DWDA Radyo Pangkaunlaran also airs regularly the national program of the NNC dubbed “One Nutrition, One Nation” every 3:00-4:00 pm on Wednesdays which is simulcast nationwide with other radio stations. The program is hosted by no less than Assistant Secretary of Health and NNC Executive Director, Maria-Bernardita T. Flores.
