The National Nutrition Council Region 2 demonstrated its support in the use of Gourmix as a supplementary, complementary and food relief during calamities through a signed resolution on July 1, 2015 as part of the national nutrition month celebration.

Resolution no. 4 series of 2015 is a resolution endorsing and supporting the Gourmix as supplementary, complementary and food relief during calamities. This resolution created convergence among different government agencies in the region.

Pinoy Gourmix is a product developed by the Department of Agriculture R02 as a response in combating malnutrition. This product is a complete and smart food which has high nutritional value. Hence, NNC R02 recognized its potential in addressing malnutrition problems.

Rhodora Maestre, Nutrition Program Coordinator, attested in her speech that Gourmix is indeed a nutritious food. In addition, she also said that everyone can avail smart food for a cheaper price. Thus, giving her full support to the use of Gourmix.

The signing of the resolution gained full support from Lucrecio Alviar Jr., DA-R02 Executive Regional Director and Mary Anne Darauay, CVACE President and witnessed by the members of balay ni ifan media group.

With this simple start, NNC-R02 strongly believe that with the support and trust of different government agencies in their advocacy at the same time with the intervention of Pinoy Smart Food, combating malnutrition will be an easy task.
