The Department of Science and Technology Region 02 (DOST RO2) expressed its support to Cagayan State University (CSU) by granting financial aid for its project on sustainable use of squash for improved nutribun.
 
During her speech, Pres. Urdujah Alvarado expressed her gratitude to DOST and its regional director, for their continuous support in the university’s S&T activities and researches.
 
“I’d like, once again, to thank all of you for this grace that we will be receiving today and for the past benefits that we have been receiving.” Pres. Alvarado expressed in her speech.
 
Regional Director Engr. Sancho A. Mabborang also gave a speech on the university’s project that DOST will continue to support this 2021, namely: Electromobility, Metals Engineering and Innovation Center, Approval of FIC projects, and the E-Nutribun.
 
He also assured the guests from CSU that he and the department will always offer their support, especially to its projects in partnership with DOST.
The Department of Science and Technology Region 02 (DOST 02) through its Grants- In-Aid (GIA) Program aims to harness the country’s scientific and technological capabilities to spur and attain sustainable economic growth and development.
 
Through the funding of relevant Science and Technology (S&T) undertakings, the GIA program aims to contribute to the productivity improvement and quality of life of Filipinos by generating and promoting appropriate technologies.
 
The ceremony was also attended by CSU’s CEO, Arthur G. Ibanez, Dr. Flor Dumlao, Prof. Dennis Policar, and other DOST R02 personnel.
