CITY OF ILAGAN, ISABELA----- Ms. Luzviminda Ragpa, District Nutrition Program Coordinator (DNPC)- Province of Nueva Vizcaya, hailed as 2019 Regional Outstanding DNPC Regional finalist as evaluated by Regional Nutrition Evaluation Team (RNET) region 02.
As DNPC, her main task is to supervise Barangay Nutrition Scholars. They also organize and conduct appropriate trainings for them. In addition, they also assist the Local Nutrition Action Officers in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of of nutrition programs in the locality.
In 2019, DNPC Ragpa recorded the following accomplishments which ensured her of a slot as a regional finalist of the 2019 Regional Outstanding DNPC:
- Spear headed planning and implementation of nutrition activities, meetings, and other PPAs (2019 nutrition month celebration, nutrition advocacy)
- Monitored of Local Nutrition Action Plan implementation
- Maintained functionality checklist of LGUs
- Provincial Nutrition Evaluation member and very well-involved in local MELLPI Pro
- Conducted 2020-2022 LNAP Planning Workshop dovetailed with PPAN programs, projects and activities for LGUs
- Provided technical assistance during BNS Quarterly Meetings
- Acted as resource person for Nutrition in Emergencies training
The RNET were composed of National Nutrition Council, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources and Philippine Information Agency as the chair of the RNET 2021.
Conferment for the award is tentatively set in November 2021 during the Regional Nutrition Awarding Ceremony.###John Nestor Ballad
