CITY OF ILAGAN, ISABELA – Armed with knowledge, skills, right attitude and her love for her barangaymates, Barangay Nutrition Scholar Rosevale Adri of Barangay San Vicente in the municipality of Ivana, Batanes performed and persevered to do her best to maintain zero underweight prevalence in their community making her as 2nd runner up Regional Outstanding Barangay Nutrition Scholar.
BNS Adri was able perform her tasks excellently with the full support of the Barangay Nutrition Committee (BNC). Determined and with good understanding on the nutrition program management, she is able to provide ample technical assistance to her BNC to ensure that their Barangay Nutrition Action Plan is responsive in addressing and preventing malnutrition in their community.
Some of the projects that BNS Adri boasts are walk and hike for a cause, piso para sa nutrisyon and other activities with the help of Non-Government Organizations in the province.
Diligent in her work and being able to tap her barangay networks, this thirty-three (33) year old gem is not only able to monitor children in her community but takes time to counsel mothers and is vigilant in monitoring those who are at risked to malnutrition. With such commitment and dedication for her work, BNS Adree deserves the title as 2019 Outstanding BNS in Batanes Province and 2nd Runner Up in the Regional Search for Outstanding Barangay Nutrition Scholar.###John Nestor Ballad
