The National Nutrition Council Region 02 goes to Batanes to attend the last leg of training for Batang Radyo sa Nutrisyon in the Island Province on April 7 – 11, 2013.
Nutrition Program Coordinator Rhodora Guevarra Maestre of NNC Region 02 has explained the training completes the cycle of organizing Batang Radyo sa Nutrisyon in the whole region.
She further says the training is just in time with the fresh opening of the Nutriskwela Community Radio station in Basco, Batanes that eventually opens April 11 and to be immediately followed by the launching of Batang Radyo sa Nutrisyon – Batanes on April 12, 2013.
According to Nutrition Officer, Benjielyne Estudillo, the selected twenty elementary pupils and high school student who form two teams of Batang Radyo will also experience for the first time training on radio broadcasting together with their coaches from the Schools Division Office of the DepEd.
It is learned that Broadcaster Ding Fugaban, NNC Media Coordinator will take three days to mold the newcomers in radio broadcasting even as they are expected to appreciate new knowledge on vis-à-vis their co-curricular activities in schools press conference which they rarely participate.
Mr. Bernie Estavillo the Program Director of Radyo Kalugaran Community Radio in Claveria, Cagayan will be taking the sideline in technical aspect of the training such as musical scoring and audio editing.
The three day training expects to impact to young would be broadcasters the basic knowledge in newswriting, broadcast speech, radio interview, program handling and other necessary principles in radio journalism.
