TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – Cagayan Valley Barangay Nutrition Scholars Federation Inc. officers conducted their last virtual meeting for the year 2021 last December 2, 2021 via Zoom meeting to discuss federation concerns, accomplishments and plans for the upcoming year,.
The federation discussed the a) Financial Statement of CVBNS Federation Inc.; b) Updates on payment of 2020-2021 annual dues; c) 2021 Regional Virtual BNS Conference; d) Updates on Tutok Kainan; e) Plans for 2022; f) Honorarium for officers; and g) CSC Eligibility application.
CVBNSFed Inc. Treasurer Gladys Maramag presented the financial statement of the federation and gave updates on the payment of their annual dues. The federation funds include the annual dues, funding assistance to members, BNS Congress income and others. She also reminded the officers to submit the master list of their members together with the payment of the dues.
Nutrition Officer II Frances Vea Valdez presented the accomplishments in the 2021 Regional Conference of Barangay Nutrition Scholars conducted on November 11-12, via Zoom and live in NNC Region 2 Facebook page. Around 2,000 BNSs from Cagayan Valley joined in the said two-day event. Most of the BNS participants gave positive feedbacks in the recently concluded virtual conference.
Also, the federation also drafted their plan for the year 2022. The activities for next year include the following: 1. CVBNS Fed. Inc. Election, 2. Federation Registration, 3. Revision of Guidelines of the Provision of Benefits, 4. Team Building activity and 5., BNS ID Distribution. It was agreed that the details of the plan will be discussed on their first quarter meeting next year.
Furthermore, the federation also provided cash prizes for a total of P18,000, to 7 BNS Awardees in Region 2. BNS Lenie Q. Bulan of Brgy. Cabisera, Ilagan City, Isabela, is hailed as the 2019 Regional Outstanding Barangay Nutrition Scholars was awarded P5,000 from the federation. Prizes of the winners were awarded during the Regional Nutrition Awarding Ceremony conducted last November 26, 2021, at Gamu, Isabela. – Frances Vea Valdez
