TUGUEGARAO CITY, CAGAYAN------ National Nutrition Council Region 02 concluded the celebration of 2022 Nutrition Month by finalizing the results of all the 2022 NM Online contests Activities through series of judging on 26-27 July 2022 at NNC R02 conference room.

A total of seven (7) online contest were spearheaded by the agency namely, Poster Contest- Employee and Student Category, Slogan Making Contest, Digital Photography Contest, BNS Nutrition Heroes, 2022 NM Tiktok Challenge and Nutrition Month Short Filmmaking Contest.

On the first day of judging, Ms. Teresa Campos, DWPE Radyo ng Bayan, together with Architect Julious Buraga and Regional President- Sierra Falcones, Engr. Mark Djeron Tumabao, lead the juding of the online poster and slogan making contest.

“It is good to note that the NNC is tapping students and employees to participate in this type of endeavor specially not leaving the comfort of their home or office. They can showcase their talents for everyone to witness,” stressed by Architect Buraga.

The next contest to be judged is the Digital Photography contest, a total of 8 entries around the region were thoroughly inspected by the board of judges namely Mr. Benjamin De Yro, media- Balay ni IFAN, Architect Reineil Pasquin, Photographer and Mr. Fernando “Owen” Urata Jr., PIA Region 02.

On the next day, Dr. Oliver Baccay, PIA, Ms. Abigail Anzia, Registered Nutritionist Dietitian, and Ms. Nerissa Mabbayad, DOH, head the judging of the 2022 BNS Nutrition Heroes. A total of four (4) entries were judged by them.

Lastly, Ms. Angely Mercado, Regional Director-PIA region 02 together with two of the best film critique in the region, Mr. Jerome Dulin and Mr. Vergel Joseph Arcegono, from the North Luzon Cinema Guild, graced the first ever Nutrition Month Short Filmmaking contest. A total of six (6) higher education institutions participated in the event.

The results of the 2022 Nutrition Month Online contest will be announced on August 04, 2022 live via FB and zoom. #John Nestor L. Ballad
