As part of NNC-MIMAROPA’s Nutrition Month Celebration, a Digital Photo Competition is organized which aims to depict the theme of the 2017 Nutrition Month, “Healthy diet, gawing habit - FOR LIFE!”. The competition was announced during the 2017 Regional Nutrition Month Launch held last July 4, 2017 held at Café de Baco, Baco, Oriental Mindoro.

The contest will serve as a campaign to promote awareness on the importance of healthy diets to prevent malnutrition and contribute to the reduction of overweight and obesity and non-communicable diseases and to help the public distinguish between healthy and unhealthy foods for better food choices.

The mechanics for the competition are the following:

1. Who may join the contest?
   • The competition is open to all registered secondary school students (grades 7-10) of MIMAROPA Region.
2. What to capture in the photograph?
   1. Each entry must depict the theme of the 2017 Nutrition Month celebration “Healthy diet, gawing habit - FOR LIFE!”.
   2. The photo must be original, wholesome, and with a small readable font size of the 2017 nutrition month theme at the lower right corner of the picture.
   3. Both portrait and landscape orientation entries are acceptable.

   4. or sufficiently high resolution for printing, image submitted should be in high resolution, printable to at least 12x18 inches (standard poster size) and with a recommended resolution of at least 300 pixels per inch.

3. How to join the contest?
   1. Each participant can submit a maximum of 1 entry taken on the year 2017 with the following necessary documents attached:
      1. Accomplished Registration Form; and
      2. Scanned copy of any legal document or valid ID.
      3. Attached essay/ narration in Filipino or English of the photo entry explaining the photograph’s portrayal of the theme in single spacing, font size 12, Times New Roman font, limited to 300 words.
   2. Each photo must be unpublished and should be used exclusively as entry for this contest only.
   3. Photograph must bear a specific filename format:

      While the necessary document and registration form’s filename must have the following format respectively,

All photos must be submitted in digital form (JPEG format only) together with all the necessary documents (registration form and scanned legal document or Student ID for identification) and must be e-mailed to This email address is being protected from spambots. 4. Other important guidelines:
   1. NNC-MIMAROPA shall have no liability for corrupted or lost entries.
   2. All photo submitted shall become property of the NNC-MIMAROPA.
   3. By participating the contest, photographers allow the institution to publish and use the photos, with full acknowledgement of photographer’s name, for the purpose of information, advocacy, campaigns and promotions in all its future projects, whether print, online or any other medium without any monetary issue or value.
   4. It is the participant’s responsibility to obtain any and all necessary releases and consents, prior to actual photo shoot, submission, exhibition and any use of the photograph in the manner mentioned in the contest mechanics without additional compensation.
5. Awarding of prizes:
   1. Only one entry for each province will be chosen to compete for the first, second and third place. The remaining two will earn a consolation prize. Entries for Cities will be included in the province. (eg. Calapan City and Puerto Princesa City will be included for entries for Oriental Mindoro and Palawan respectively)
   2. The winner shall be informed through e-mail and phone call.
   3. All non-winners shall no longer be informed and any complaints from non-winning entries shall not be entertained.
