MiMaRoPa RNET deliberates results of the annual MELLPI in the region

MiMaRoPa 2018 MELLPI Deliberations

11 June 2018, Makati City - Along its mandate to monitor and evaluate the implementation of the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN), the National Nutrition Council (NNC) – MiMaRoPa along with partner agencies conducted the Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI) in the five (5) provinces and one (1) city in the region from April to June 2018. The interagency Regional Nutrition Evaluation Team (RNET) also evaluated the performance of the Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNSs), and as a regional initiative, the outstanding Barangay Nutrition Committees (BNCs) and outstanding Municipal Nutrition Action Officers (MNAOs).

Two (2) RNET Deliberation Meetings were held this year, on 24 May 2018 for the Search for Regional Outstanding Barangay Nutrition Scholar (BNS); and on 11 June 2018 for the Green Banner Awards, Search for Outstanding Barangay Nutrition Committee (BNC) and Search for Outstanding Municipal Nutrition Action Officer (MNAO).

 

Results of the deliberation are the following:

I. Green Banner Award

a. Outstanding City in the Region – Calapan City

b. Outstanding Municipality in the Region – Mogpog, Marinduque

c. Outstanding Municipalities in the Province:

  • San Jose, Occidental Mindoro
  • Mogpog, Marinduque
  • Odiongan, Romblon

II. Search for the Regional Outstanding BNS

a. Outstanding in the Region - Ms. Vilma W. Pansoy of Brgy. Bayanan II, Calapan City

b. Outstanding in the Province

  • Ms. Pedrita C. Ogayre of Brgy. Little Tanauan, Roxas, Oriental Mindoro
  • Ms. Laida S. Mayacyac of Brgy. Balimbing, Boac, Marinduque
  • Ms. Rejina C. Caunca of Brgy. Tabugon, Sta. Fe, Romblon
  • Ms Rosie B. Asuela of Brgy. Panacan, Narra, Palawan

III. Search for the Regional Outstanding Barangay Nutrition Committee (BNC)

a. Outstanding in the Region - Brgy. Suqui, Calapan City

b. Outstanding in the Province

  • Brgy. Paclasan, Roxas, Oriental Mindoro
  • Brgy. San Francisco, Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro

IV. Regional Outstanding Municipal Nutrition Action Officer (ROMNAO)

The annual Regional Nutrition Awarding Ceremony (RNAC) is scheduled on 7 August 2018.
