QUEZON CITY – Selected members of MIMAROPA provincial and city nutrition committees showcased their artistic skills in NNC’s Regional Nutrition Month Poster making contest held on 9 July 2020. The activity aimed to utilize painting to increase stakeholders’ awareness about the Nutrition Month theme focus -- stunting. The contest started at 8:30 in the morning and was held at the nutrition offices facilitated by their Local Nutrition Action Officers and District/City Nutrition Program Coordinators.

LGU representative staff with no professional experience in painting were chosen as participants. The contestants crafted posters depicting the theme of the 2020 Nutrition Month celebration “Batang Pinoy SANA ALL… Iwas stunting, SAMA ALL! Iwas All din sa COVID-19!”.
Contest outputs will be judged based the following criteria: thematic relevance (30%), creativity (20%), technical excellence (20%), and public impact (30%). To determine public impact, entries will be posted on the NNC MIMAROPA facebook page and will be ranked based from the number of shares and reactions.
Winners will be announced on the first week of August 2020 at the National Nutrition Council MIMAROPA Region Facebook Page and will receive special prizes such as nutrition month shirt and cash prizes worth Php5,000 (first prize), Php3,500 (second prize), Php2,000 (third prize) and Php1,000 (consolation prizes).
