One of the pillar programs of the Provincial Government of Palawan under the I-HELP is the health and safety of every Palaweño family.
With the theme "Inter-Agency Convergence for Health," various government agencies in the province gathered in November 2020 to conduct community outreach programs in the barangays of Roxas and San Vicente.
The said activity aims to meet the health needs of every Palaweño family especially during the community quarantine period.
Provincial Nutrition Action Officer (PNAO) Rachel Paladan discussed the topics on malnutrition and the importance of promoting "First 1,000 days ni Baby" as one of the flagship programs of the National Nutrition Council (NNC).
Meanwhile, dental health checkups among children were also done by the Provincial Health Office through Dr. Lilian T. Arcinas, Dental Health Program Coordinator.
Other health services were also offered during the activity, among which are free health consultations for elders and children, distribution of free medicines, services from the Kilusan Ligtas Malaria (KLM), and Information, Education and Communication (IEC) campaign for anti-terrorism in Palawan spearheaded by the Philippine Marines.
The Inter-agency outreach program was successfully conducted through its partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Palawan, Marine Battalion Landing Team (MBLT) 3, Provincial Government of Palawan, Kilusan Ligtas Malaria, and the local government units of Roxas and San Vicente.
