Local Government Units of MIMAROPA participated in the Nutrition Service Continuity Survey which aims to understand the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on the provision and utilization of routine nutrition services through the health system. It covers the capacities of Barangay Nutrition Scholars, nutrition services offered before and during community quarantine, nutrition services adaptation, nutrition information, education, and communication, and provision of food packs.

The NNC, with technical assistance from UNICEF Philippines, conducted the online survey from 4-19 January 2021 on nutrition service continuity using the Enketo and ONA web application.

Before the actual conduct of the said survey, National Nutrition Council – MIMAROPA conducted the orientation for the said survey via Zoom Application. Brief demonstration on the use of ENKETO survey form was also conducted. The online orientation was attended by 82 Nutrition Action Officers and District/City Nutrition Program Coordinators from different local government units held on 8 and 11 January 2021.

From the allotted time frame to accomplish the survey, MIMAROPA was able to comply with 100% submission from the 71 municipalities and 2 cities in the region within the set deadline.

Data analysis workshop at the regional level will be conducted on 28 January 2021 and the target dissemination of results will be on March 2021. (BLVMEstrella)
