Puerto Princesa City organized an orientation for Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI) Pro last 5 February 2021 as they geared up for nutrition surveillance, monitoring, and evaluation this year. Around 30 participants from the City Nutrition Office and City Nutrition Committee participated the orientation.
With support from National Nutrition Council – MIMAROPA, Nutrition Officer III Camille Chen, Nutrition Officer II Bianca Estrella, and Nutrition Officer I Nichole Loyola facilitated the discussion of Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition 2017-2022 and the MELLPI Pro.

It is the local sub-system of the PPAN Results Framework. The results chains, activity, output, outcome, and impact are depicted in the six dimensions – vision and mission, nutrition policies and laws, governance and organizational structure, nutrition interventions, and changes in nutritional status in the local government.
The morning session focused on Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition 2017-2022 as NO III Chen explained the country’s blueprint of action for nutrition improvement. While NO II Estrella and NO I Loyola detailed the use of MELLPI Pro tools for City and Barangay Level during the afternoon session.
Prior to the end of the orientation, City Nutrition Action Officer Pearl Rodriguez extended her gratitude to the National Nutrition Council MIMAROPA and seeked support from the City Nutrition Committee for the conduct of MELLPI Pro.
Likewise, on behalf of NNC MIMAROPA, NO III Chen wished for a successful monitoring and evaluation of nutrition programs at the barangays in Puerto Princesa City.
