Blanco and participation of NO II Bianca Estrella and NO I Nichole Loyola. Also present during the activity were Alcanz, LLC. consultants Ms. Marissa Navales, Ms. Karla Laqui, and writer Ms. Victoria Rialp.
LGU Narra was represented by Acting Mayor Crispin O. Lumba, Municipal Nutrition Action Officer Ana Paz Cervancia, Sangguniang Panlalawigan Board Member Ryan Maminta, Sangguniang Bayan Councilor Janet Nabua, Sangguniang Bayan Secretary Carlos, and the BNS Association President of Narra and the BNS Federation President of Palawan Ms. Emelia Riambon.
LGU Narraโs Ordinance was selected to be included in the second Compendium of the National Nutrition Council, following the Compendium of Local Actions on Nutrition (CAN) which featured 11 stories of high-performing LGUs on nutrition across the country and launched on 31 July 2018. The second compendium is a joint project of the NNC and the Nutrition Action Officers Association of the Philippines, with technical support from Nutrition International.
It is hoped that upon completion, the publication of the Compendium shall serve as valuable reference for other LGUs to learn from experiences in utilizing local ordinances to scale up nutrition, particularly in enriching the human resource base for nutrition. Moreover, it is also hoped to be a reference for international readership-contributing to global knowledge-sharing on nutrition.
