The Regional Nutrition Evaluation Team (RNET) composed of NPC Ma. Eileen B. Blanco, NOII Bianca Estrella, NOI Ace Patriarca and representative from Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Ms. Lea A. Dagot, went to Roxas, Oriental Mindoro to provide technical assistance to LGU Roxas, Oriental Mindoro. 

The activity started with an evaluation of their current nutrition program implementation which then led to the formulation of discussion questions, identifying issues and problems and immediate action needed for the improvement of the result of their MELLPI along the way.

The courtesy visit and exit conference were conducted on their second day. It was attended by the members of Municipal Nutrition Committee (MNC) led by MNC Chair and Municipal Mayor Leo Cusi Sr. and MNC Co-chair, Municipal Health Officer and Municipal Nutrition Action Officer, Dr. Leonor Daite. The meeting started with a brief overview of MELLPI and the journey to nutrition awards that the NNC were given to LGUs. The RNET still provided immediate actions needed for further improvement. However, the team recorded a problem on their score in the sixth dimension, Changes in Nutritional Status in the Local Government Unit, which they provided suggestions for betterment of the result.

The NNC MIMAROPA will continue to provide technical assistance and support in implementing nutrition programs in improving the nutrition status of children in every LGU in the region to recognize and be honored all the efforts and actions of local nutrition workers and the LGU as well in the national level.
