NNC MIMAROPA in collaboration with Palawan provincial trainers PNAO Ms. Rachel T. Paladan and DNPC Ms. Mila T. Veneranda, facilitated the last day of Training on Barangay Nutrition Scholar (BNS) Basic Course which was cooperated by 22 participants via Zoom Application on 26 May 2021.
The training content is packaged into five modules. Traditionally, it is a five-day session, however due to constraints brought by COVID-19, it was optimized into a three-day training.
Day 3 covered the following topics: 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲 𝟱: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗡𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝟮) This latter part of the module explains the roles and functions of BNSs in nutrition program management (NPM) in terms of assessment, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
Throughout the open forum, the following statements have been highlighted: "Kung iniinvolve natin ang lahat ng BNC members sa BNAP planning workshop, mas gaganahan sila magcooperate and mas magiging supportive sila dahil naiintindihan nila yung goal" . - CNAO Mary Pearl P. "Nagpapasalamat po ako sa training na ito kasi malaking tulong po siya bilang isang newly designated MNAO. I will do my best para maapply lahat ng pinagusapan sa buong training". - MNAO Argie Adioc of Sofronio Española, Palawan.
As the training ends, all participants are intended to further improve the nutrition program implementation of all barangay nutrition scholars for the betterment of the nutrition situation in LGUs Palawan and Puerto Princesa City. (NKSLoyola)
