National Nutrition Council – MIMAROPA held a virtual media assembly for Palawan, Romblon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Occidental Mindoro Nutrition Communicators (PROMO Nutri Com) on 18 June 2021 attended by nine (9) officers and members.

The virtual media assembly is part of the NNC-MIMAROPA’s Nutrition Month activities which aims to provide the local media group with information relevant to the 2021 Nutrition Month, and to arrange a media plan for improved information reach.​

As media partners, opportunities to support nutrition ranged from development of materials for information, education, and communication of nutrition messages to the public​, dissemination of factual information on good nutrition, promotion of good and healthy nutrition practices and encouragement of the public to participate in national and local health and nutrition programs through various platforms -- print, television, radio, digital media, and other media.

With that opportunities, regional nutrition month activities are laid for collaboration with PROMO Nutri Com to engage more people to participate and create greater awareness on the nutrition month which calls to end all forms of malnutrition by working together and scaling-up nutrition actions in the first 1000 days of life using the theme: “Malnutrisyon patuloy na labanan, First 1000 Days Tutukan!”
