The National Nutrition Council MIMAROPA Region joins in the commemoration of the 123rd anniversary of Department of Health (DOH), the principal health agency of the Philippines and the chair of the National Nutrition Council (NNC) Governing Board.
The devotion of this established agency has showcased the extensive commitments in developing national plans, technical standards and guidelines to ensure access of all Filipinos in fundamental public health services through delivery of standard health care and related goods and services.
The health and nutrition of our fellow Filipinos has been a growing area of concern even before COVID-19 pandemic took place. NNC and DOH shall work as one to further intensify advocacy and mobilize the administration of health and nutrition programs, projects, and activities as it is expected to aggravate due to current situation.
May the agency constantly conform to its goal of universal health care for all Filipinos.
Together, let us join force with the DOH achieve its vision of “Filipinos are among the healthiest people in Southeast Asia by 2022, and Asia by 2040”.
