Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI) Protocol is an annual activity regulated by NNC to monitor and evaluate the performance of local government units (LGUs) in promoting nutrition security vis-à-vis nutrition outcomes and to measure the contribution of the LGUs to the PPAN targets and outcomes.
As an inter-agency activity, the Regional Nutrition Evaluation Team (RNET) conducted a virtual MELLPI Pro to the Province of Oriental Mindoro on 29-30 September 2021 via Zoom Application. The team was comprised of NNC MIMAROPA staff NPC-OIC Ms. Ma. Eileen B. Blanco, Nutrition Officer II Ms. Bianca Estrella and Nutrition Officer I Ms. Nichole Loyola accompanied by representatives from various agencies Mr. Joel Guevara of DTI, Mr. Mark Guilles of POPCOM, and Ms. Chara Eje of NEDA.
All documents were copy furnished to the team members despite conducting the activity virtually. Beginning the session, NO II Bianca Estrella facilitated the desk review for assessment covering all the dimensions. As for feedbacking and exit conference, NO I Nichole Loyola delivered the findings and recommendations in accordance to the results formulated upon the desk review to LGU representatives PNAO Norine Dacula, DNPC Ana Lualhati Hernandez and ND Rudeline Almeda.
PNAO Dacula positively responded that she appreciated the definite and detailed feedback provided as this shall be used to further enhance nutrition program implementation within the locality. She also shared that preparation of documentation reports have been one of their constraints. Further, she added that for year 2021, the province procured 426 weighing scales and height boards to be disseminated to various barangays.
In support, NNC MIMAROPA and RNET members to extensively assist LGU Oriental Mindoro to further strengthen nutrition products, services and delivery systems towards augmented effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability province wide.
