Occidental Mindoro underwent virtual Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI) Pro on 22 September 2021 facilitated by NNC MIMAROPA and joined by Regional Nutrition Evaluation Team composed of Ms. Chara Eje (NEDA MIMAROPA), Mr. Dennis De Ramos (DILG MIMAROPA) and Mr. Mark Guilles (POPCOM MIMAROPA) via Zoom Application. The evaluation covered the 2019 nutrition program implementation of the province.

Digitized copy of documents was made available to the RNET to facilitate the evaluation process and determine the accomplishments of the LGU. Using the MELLPI Pro tool, the team evaluated the performance of the province in terms of its vision and mission, nutrition policies, governance, local nutrition committee management, nutrition services and changes in nutritional status for past three (3) years.

For the feedbacking, it was conducted on 1 October 2021 attended by nine (9) members of the Provincial Nutrition Committee. NO I Nichole Loyola briefly presented the overview of MELLPI Pro and the journey to nutrition awards while NO II Estrella facilitated the presentation of results and recommendations.

PNAO Dr. Arceli Rebong positively responded with the results and will make use of the recommendations for better nutrition program implementation and documentation. She also mentioned that these results were also delivered to the members of the PNC through their attendance on this online feedbacking.

NPC Blanco commended the efforts of the PNC and especially its creation of the provincial nutrition cluster which is important especially during this time of public health emergency to protect the nutritional status of the vulnerable groups.
