Are you having second thoughts on drinking this holiday season? Worry not. You can still drink in moderation. In fact, alcohol still has its benefits according to some research but it doesn’t outweigh the benefits of eating a healthy diet. Some of the benefits includes:
- Reducing your risk of developing and dying of heart disease
- Possibly reducing your risk of ischemic stroke (when the arteries to your brain become narrowed or blocked, causing severely reduced blood flow)
- Possibly reducing your risk of diabetes
Be sure to remember to drink no more than 10 standard drinks per week for healthy men and women, and no more than 4 standard drinks on any given day for healthy men and women.
NNC MIMAROPA would like to remind each and everyone to “Always drink moderately this holiday season!”
