PROMO (Palawan, Romblon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Occidental Mindoro) Nutrition Communicators held its first meeting for 2022 this 24 January via Zoom. The meeting was presided by media group President Voltaire Dequina and attended by 9 officers and members.

Prior to the meeting proper, the group shared what they look forward to this 2022. Mostly, they hope for end of the pandemic and go back to normal to carry-out usual activities, good health, continued service delivery through communication, and more program advocacy and accomplishments.

Media group’s accomplishments per work plan and per commitment to the Regional Plan of Action for Nutrition (RPAN) 2019-2022 were presented. NPC, OIC Eileen Blanco congratulated the team for reaching and even exceeding most of their targets.

The 2022 Approved Social Behavior Change and Communication Plan which included the two major projects of the group -- Video Documentary: Success Stories in Nutrition and Media Conference for Nutrition were also presented.

Mr. Cyrus Claridad, the team leader for Video Documentary project, provided its overview which will feature the programs in LGUs that created great impact on the nutrition situation of the community. The first step in doing this project is the sharing of concept story from each province that will be included in the short video.

Lastly, NPC Blanco seek assistance from PROMO members to Nutriskwela radio stations in strengthening their broadcast and programming. As media practitioners, their inputs would be of great help for the community radio stations to step-up in the field.
