01272022 MQE OCM gears up tutok kainan

 

Nutrition Action Officers, Nutrition Action Officers (NAO) and Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBO) of Marinduque and Occidental Mindoro with the assistance of Provincial Tutok Kainan Focal Persons of Department of Agrarian Reform convened for the First Tutok Kainan Coordination Meeting via Zoom application on 21 January 2022. 

The meeting was attended by 19 Provincial and Municipal NAOs from Marinduque and Occidental Mindoro, four (4) ARBOs namely Bahi Agricultural and Fisheries Association, Bulacan Sigasig ng Layon at Kapatiran Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Payompon Development Cooperative and Pinatubo Multipurpose Cooperative, and four (4) Tutok Kainan Focal Persons from DAR MIMAROPA. The meeting involves updates on procurement of NNC commodities and 15% advance payment of ARBOs; reports and documents for submission; updating of Tutok Kainan Focal Persons and masterlist of beneficiaries; and other Tutok Kainan and Early Childhood Care and Development in the First 1000 Days (ECCD-F1K) concerns.

For the updates on the procurement of FNRI-based commodities such as Momsie, RiMo blend and Mingo meals, Provincial Nutrition Focal Point (PNFP) for Marinduque Ms. Nichole Kaye Loyola reported that the Central Office awarded a supplier and is currently processing documents. She also informed the ARBOs that their cheque for 15% advance payment was released and ready for delivery. PNFP for Occidental Mindoro Francis Erik P. Bacena then discussed the forms to be used in accepting the commodities from ARBOs to the LGUs. Municipal Focal Persons such as MNAOs and their alternate consignee shall be responsible for inspecting the commodities supplied by ARBOs and the imminent delivery of FNRI-based meals from NNC.

As the implementation of Tutok Kainan is tentatively scheduled on February, NAOs were reminded to submit their beneficiaries’ consent forms, directory of focal persons for municipal and barangay, and updated masterlist of beneficiaries before the end of January.

For concerns on ECCD F1K, status of fund liquidation was presented. MNAOs were also reminded on their submission of their accomplishment reports and action photos and documentation report of conducted activities.

Nutrition Program Coordinator Ma. Eileen B. Blanco gave the closing message assuring that the long awaited Tutok Kainan is coming hoping that through the assistance of NNC and DAR, the implementation of Tutok Kainan will be a success and give impact in improving the nutrition situation of Marinduque and Occidental Mindoro
