NNC MIMAROPA virtually monitored the Nutriskwela Community Radio Station – Radyo Kamalindig in Buenavista, Marinduque on 4 February 2022. The monitoring team composed of Nutrition Officer II Bianca Estrella and Provincial Nutrition Focal Point Nichole Loyola were joined by Program Manager Ronaldo Banagan.

PM Banagan joyfully shares the success stories through the help of radio and the support they are receiving from the local government unit. They were also able to address some problems identified such as the electric power. According to him, the LGU is currently purchasing solar panels for their operation.

In terms of their programming, it varies from health and nutrition, education, news events and programs from their partners. It was positively noted that anchors also shared health tips in their segments for music.

Furthermore, monitoring team provided recommendations especially on the references to be used on sharing nutrition information on air.

Semestral monitoring is being conducted by NNC MIMAROPA every year to oversee its operations and ensuring that it is in line with its purpose of delivering correct, current, and relevant information on nutrition and health information and community development programs.
