NNC MIMAROPA convened the Nutriskwela Community Radio Stations in the region attended by representatives from Radyo Kasimanwa in Coron, Palawan; Radyo Kaunlaran in Bansud, Oriental Mindoro; and Radyo Kamalindig in Buenavista, Marinduque – in a virtual meeting on 17 February 2022 via Zoom.

The meeting was attended by 7 radio personnel from the 3 radio stations composed of station managers, programs managers and radio anchors and presided by NPC Ma. Eileen Blanco.

The stations were convened to further strengthen the Nutriskwela Community Radio Network Program in the region. This meeting aims to identify actions for assistance of the regional office and strategize to further enhance the broadcast operations.

During the meeting they were given review on the roles and functions of the radio station personnel and the Community Radio Council, the monitoring, and some aspects in technical operations, programming, and documentation. The three stations who were present also shared updates and experiences in their stations.

NPC Blanco is looking forward to visiting the stations personally as the COVID-19 travel restriction eases. NNC MIMAROPA will continue its coordination and assistance to the Nutriskwela Community Radio Stations in the region as they continuously contribute in addressing hunger and malnutrition through delivering correct health and nutrition information.
