NNC MIMAROPA convened its Regional Technical Working Group (RTWG) in Nutrition for a meeting last 16 March 2022. Main agenda of the group was to review the RNC Resolution No. 1, s. 2019: Approving and Adopting the Regional Plan of Action for Nutrition 2019-2022.

The policy review aimed to evaluate the working of the policy previously passed. It determined whether objectives were achieved, identifies problems, failures and challenges encountered in implementing the policy. The group reviewed the policy through a plenary where a set of guide questions were answered based on the provisions of the resolution.

Towards the end, recommendations were given for improvement in the next passing of resolution for the adoption of the Regional Plan of Action for Nutrition 2023-2028. Along with the policy review, updates on the Tutok Kainan Dietary Supplementation in Marinduque and Occidental Mindoro were presented to the group as well as the plan in the organization of Scaling-Up Nutrition (SUN) Movement Networks in MIMAROPA.
