Cotabato City. National Nutrition Council BARMM in collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government conducts the First Virtual Forum on Governors' Action: The Fight of Local Government Against Malnutrition on June 14, 2021 via Zoom platform. This forum aims to seek the Provincial Government to prioritize and support nutrition programs, to share the nutrition interventions of the Regional Plan of Action for Nutrition 2020-2022 and to integrate Local Nutrition Action Plan to LGUs Annual Investments Plans.

Provincial Governor Bai Mariam S. Mangudadatu is represented by her Provincial Planning Development Officer, Mr. Nulfarid Ampatuan who shared their experience in their current Supplementation Feeding Program in selected municipalities of Maguindanao.

NNC OIC of Nutrition Surveillance Division, Ms. Ellen Ruth F. Abella, RND presented the Overview of Tutok Kainan Supplementation Program of the national government. She said, that in Phase 3 four provinces in BARMM were selected and stunted and wasted children 6 months to 23 months old were targeted for the complementary foods.

Bangsamoro Chief Minister Ahod Balawag Ebrahim, graced the event and said that "the fight against malnutrition is a moral responsibilities, this government has launched various investments ranging from food security sustainable agricultures and nutrition programs that can help reduce malnutrition and hunger in BARMM".

The said forum were attended by the members of the Regional Nutrition Committee, members of the Maguindanao Provincial Nutrition Committee, UNICEF, UN- FAO and HRH-NDDPs of Ministry of Health.
