April 5, 2022. Presidential Decree No. 1569 mandated the deployment of one BNS in every barangay in the country to monitor the nutritional status of children and/or link communities with nutrition and related service providers. PD 1569 also mandated the NNC to administer the program in cooperation with local government units.

The National Nutrition Council Central Office together with the National Nutrition Council – BARMM held the turnover ceremony for the travelling allowance of the 23 Barangay Nutrition Scholars of Upi, Maguindanao on 5 April 2022 at Upi Municipal Conference Hall.

RNPC Sinolinding gave his message of support and encouraged the LGU to continue the support in combating the malnutrition. Aside from the travelling allowance, RNPC Sinolinding also handed over the LCE’s jacket and face mask to MNC Chairperson, Mayor Ramon A. Piang Sr.

Also present, during the ceremony are the members of Upi Municipal Nutrition Committee, Dr. Carmelo B. Esberto (Municipal Health Officer), EnP. Torombai M. Ambolodto (Municipal Local Government Operations Officer) and the members of Municipal Nutrition Committee was also present in the ceremony.
