Another milestone for the Bangsamoro Nutrition Committee to lead the 2nd formulation workshop of the Regional Plan of Action for Nutrition 2023-2028 held on September 14-15, 2022 at Sun City Suites, General Santos City.
The 2-day workshop is in collaboration with the strong support of the development partners, namely World Food Programme, UNICEF, Nutrition International, World Health Organization and Zuellig Family Foundation, who guided the regional and provincial participants to craft an effective, realistic RPAN, and to align the strategies and interventions to Bangsamoro Development Plan 2023-2028 and to Bangsamoro Food Security and Nutrition Plan 2023-2028.
Further, the National Nutrition Council-BARMM in collaboration with the UNICEF facilitated a 5-day refinement workshop for the 2023-2028 Formulation of Regional Plan of Action for Nutrition together with the assistance of the development partners (WFP, FAO, WHO, Nutrition International, ZFF and Relief International).
The 5-day workshop was indeed successful because all participants showed their active support of the workshop and participated in every activity and discussion that was discussed during the workshop.
NNC BARMM OIC NPC Retsebeth M. Laquihon discussed the review of RPAN 2020-2022 and Updates on the Regional Nutrition Situation. Investment planning was headed by Dr. Juguan of Nutrition International and Sir Andre of the WHO. Different agencies and ministries present and share the highlights of Accomplishments for RPAN 2020-2022. The synthesis and the next step of RPAN 2023-2028 Formulation was also discussed.
