BUTUAN City- The Caraga Regional Development Council (RDC)- Social Development Committee (SDC) convened its Fourth Quarter Meeting on18 November 2021 virtually via Zoom platform.
Presided-over by the active City Mayor of Bayugan, Hon. Kirk A. Asis, the Committee discussed and passed pertinent resolutions for endorsement to the Regional Development Council Meeting scheduled in the last week of November this year.
The following items discussed during the meeting: FY 2023 Annual Investment Program (AIP) of the Social Development Sector; (2) 2023-2025 Three-Year Rolling Infrastructure Program (TRIP) of the Social Development Sector; (c) Status of Local Government Units’ Compliance with Department of the Interior and Local Government Memorandum Circular No. 2017-133 on the Establishment of Local Culture and Arts Council; (d) Highlights of the Social Development Committee National-Regional Consultative Meeting; (e) National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) – Commission En Banc Resolutions; (f) RDC CAR Resolution No. 47, Series of 2021, “Requesting the Cordillera Congressmen to Support the Proposed Amendment of Section 12 of the Republic Act 8371 Otherwise Known as the Indigenous Peoples Rights Act (IPRA) of 1997 to be Stated as ‘The option granted under this section shall be exercised within twenty (20) years from the review and updating of its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR)’”.
The productive meeting concluded with an item advocacy regarding the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) which will commence on 25 November to 12 December 2021. #NASlabordo
