Butuan City- Another National Nutrition Council Caraga workshop on integrating nutrition programs, projects and activities (PPAs) in the 2022 Annual Investment Program (AIP) conducted to five (5) selected local government units on 2-3 December 2021 at the Almont City Hotel, Butuan City.

Integration of nutrition related PPAs is by the use of an excel template which participants learned to fill in budgets and prioritized PPAs to be implemented in 2022.

The workshop covered under the local government mobilization strategies aimed at increasing the recognition of the alarming malnutrition situation especially during pandemic and investing nutrition with appropriate budgets.

Inputs provided by the National Nutrition Council Caraga were on Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN) and LGU Mobilization strategy, Investing Nutrition with Results, Opportunities for Nutrition Support under Mandanas-Garcia Ruling, Sectoral Integration of nutrition related PPAs to local nutrition action plans and the simulation exercise on nutrition budgeting.

The LGUs who attended the workshop are from the municipalities of San Agustin, Lingig, Lanuza, Carmen all in Surigao del Sur and the Provincial Nutrition Office- Province of Surigao del Norte. #LVPVargas/NASLabordo
